what is atelier 4T2?

when people walk into the atelier, they often look around and ask us; what is this place? we always struggle to give a clear answer.... it's kind of complicated.
here's a shot at explaining.

the box is our church.

every shoe is shot professionally in the amazon lightbox, with an iphone, probably 15. we only work with the best gear. obviously.
we have a tendency to say, shoot fast, the faster, the better. and don't over-think it.

from hang out to design studio.

we do the occasional social run (we prefer social runs on our road trips so we see new places and meet new people) and they end up talking about shoes which is good but boring.
over time the atelier is becoming more and more it's true self. we have a bigger future vision for it; design, development, repair, resoling, even making garments?

all hands on deck.

from time to time we underestimate the situation. it means we end up with a 200 pair shipment which basically blocks any customer from coming in. it also means family and friends need to help out. we're currently training hinde (blind guide dog and friend of the brand) to handle basics customer service situations.

reorganizing vs global meetings.

we love to shake things up. so from time to time we redo the atelier, trying new ways of presenting. no rules, just keeping it interesting and always blending in a little lightness. running is ugly but we can still have a bit of fun about it.
global meetings are at the bar. our travellers are always joining in from faraway trail spots or factory floors.

still we keep our test set available for local pick ups. it means you can test and try varuous models to find out what you'd like. keep them for a couple of days and come back to share your experience.

5 minute photo shoots.

best ideas come from within the pressure cooker. we often force ourselves to rush and let the ad hoc situation influence the outcome. one rule: don't over-think it.
please feel welcome to drop by at atelier 4T2. you'll find us, busy, but always in for a chat and who knows, you can help out with some shipping, a random photoshoot or try on some apparel proto types.
